Shimizu’s in Shirakawa-go
You can enjoy the magnificent Hakusan mountain range throughout the year. This tourist home is a small inn in the mountains and a world cultural heritage site, “The Shirakawago gassho colony,” a wooden house with a steep rafter roof. Since it’s out of ways, it is very quiet and peaceful. Overseas guests are also welcome, as English communication is OK (daily conversation level).
Room

We have three tatami-mat rooms where guests can sleep with futons. (note: tatami-mat = grass reed flooring mats). The house was built 200 years ago with strong wooden supports and a steep thick rafter thatched roof. Comfortably quiet Japanese style rooms with western style toilets.
Dinner

Please enjoy Hida beef (raised at Hida) and homemade dishes by the fire place.
