| Shimizu’s
in Shirakawa-go You can enjoy the magnificent Hakusan mountain range throughout the year. This tourist home is a small inn in the mountains and a world cultural heritage site, “The Shirakawago gassho colony,” a wooden house with a steep rafter roof. Since it’s out of ways, it is very quiet and peaceful. Overseas guests are also welcome, as English communication is OK (daily conversation level). |

Room We have three tatami-mat rooms where guests can sleep with futons. (note: tatami-mat = grass reed flooring mats). The house was built 200 years ago with strong wooden supports and a steep thick rafter thatched roof. Comfortably quiet Japanese style rooms with western style toilets. |
